ORGANIC SOLVENT NANOFILTRATION
In 2018, Molecular Forces Consulting was founded with the goal to develop methods for using Organic Solvent Nanofiltration (OSN) in industrial and chemical applications, and provide services for research, development, and piloting to customers.
OSN is a tool for doing separations that cannot be done by other methods, separating molecules by molecular weight in a gentle process that does not involve heating, chilling or evaporation. It has widespread applications in oils such as reducing the demand for bleaching earth; removing FFA content, heavy metals, and pesticides; removing waxes that interfere with refinement; and isolating high value compounds like Lanolin and Squalene in pharmaceutical grades.

We focus on a combination of research and development and engineering. In addition to a wide variety of applications already being served, we can offer feasibility testing, develop scalable procedures, and guide customers from lab testing through piloting and final implementation.
Our X-Spiral line of products provides a wide variety of ready-to-implement machinery for OSN suitable for specialty oil applications, or as pilot units for large plan applications. Our IP for membranes and separation processes make us well prepared to go from testing to implementation and help bring in the cost savings and unique separations this technology offers to your company.
