Molecular Forces: Solving Complex Separations
I founded Molecular Forces Consulting to help bring Organic Solvent Nanofiltration to a wider spectrum of industry. While this technology is well known and has been applied to many companies and received lots of academic attention in the last 20 years, there were few companies that could take an application all the way through initial testing, piloting, and final plants. There were also no systems small enough to work in specialty oil applications running less than 1 ton/day. Molecular Forces Consulting focused on providing a full range of product sizes and the technical services necessary to make them useful.
Molecular Forces Consulting can take a difficult separation, figure out a method for doing it using OSN, and then size an appropriate system for your facility. We can then pilot it at your facility, perfect the procedures, and train the employees and managers to run it consistently. We can also audit existing facilities and point out key areas where OSN can bring costs down or monetize products currently being treated as waste.

Education and Background
After spending one year working at the UO Center of Advanced Materials Characterization (CAMCOR), where product development was conducted for well-known agencies like the Air Force and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, he served as lab director of an analytical testing lab from 2015–2017, guiding the lab through its ORELAP accreditation. From 2017–2019, he served as lab director of an oils processing lab, overseeing the complete buildout of the lab and taking responsibility for hiring and managing all employees and developing all new SOPs. From 2019 onward, he has been the owner of Molecular Forces Consulting.
